One day, a creative spark struck Melissa Firefox, and she decided she wanted to create a world of her own.
But not just any world. A world full of love and beauty, of heartbreak and sadness. A world of harmony and song. She wanted to bring this world to life with a simple setting and diverse characters that sang both their thoughts and emotions. "Why?" you may ask. "Why create a world so similar to her own? Why immerse Bokehville in such a familiar atmosphere of first world problems?" Melissa's world is a mix of both fantasy and reality. The characters that inhabit it look like felines but act like humans (known as felinoids). Each thinks for itself. Each has its own song about pain and or glory, growth and or destruction. Gradually, Melissa's world will expand. It will become something much more than just Bokehville. It will be a far more complex landscape. It will grow and change as much as the characters will. Almost as much. |

Creampuff is a silly, positive kitten and a resident of Bokehville. She tends to always look on the bright side of things and is very helpful and friendly, even towards strangers.
Creampuff has an older sister named Figgy Pudding, whom she simply refers to as "Pudding" or sometimes even "Fig Face".
Darling and ever-energetic, Creampuff will face up to any challenge and at times is even braver than Figgy Pudding and her "older, mature-er" friends. However, Creampuff is not always prepared, and has a tough time keeping up in her school, Darkle Academy. As a result, Puffin, the local brainiac, is hired by Figgy Pudding to tutor her.
Creampuff always ignores the fact that she is younger than most kitties on the block. A tad boy-crazy, she stalks Figgy Pudding's sweetheart, Glaze, despite the fact he is much older than Creampuff and shows no romantic interest in her. AT ALL.

Figgy Pudding is Creampuff's older sibling and a resident of Bokehville. She is known to be very dependent in tough situations, and exhibits mature responsibility by always looking out for her little sister, even though that little sister makes it hard by calling her things like "Fig Face" and not her actual name.
Even so, Figgy loves Creampuff unconditionally. She will do anything for family and enjoys spending time with her friends and boyfriend, Glaze. Unfortunately, she is not yet fully aware that her own sibling has a major crush on him.
Though laid-back and reserved, there is one thing that boosts Figgy Pudding's energy level to max: waffles. Just the thought of gooey golden numminess sets her heart racing. She writes about her feelings on waffles in her diary. Creampuff, of course, has seen it and one day plans to show her sister's diary to Glaze in order to convince him that Figgy is crazy and he doesn't need her.
That day has not come yet.

Alliderpkins is the youngest, fiercest kitten in Bokehville and likes things to stay that way. She has a reputation of being ridiculous towards her own needs, and will never settle for less than the best.
Despite her impossibly high standards, Alliderpkins's older brother, Maple, wants to make sure she has a happy childhood and makes lots of kitten friends, considering the fact that no one tends to levitate towards her prissiness.
Alliderpkins knows what she wants and will diva herself up to get it. Manipulating others with her irresistibly derpy stare, this devious kitty has sunk well below her brother's expectations of humbleness and has become quite spoiled.
Alliderpkins, however, has a secret, with whom she has told no one, not even Maple. Alliderpkins secretly dreams, more than anything, of having a little doll of her own to snuggle with when she falls asleep. She is afraid of the dark, but is too proud of her fierce reputation to tell anyone. And she must admit, diamond-embezzled mouse toys are not all that comforting in the middle of the night.

Daisuki is a playful and artistic resident of Bokehville. Ever since she was young, Daisuki has been painting everywhere: on paper, on canvas, on walls. She is always improving her techniques and is determined to one day become a worldwide art sensation.
Daisuki's big dreams are fueled by her creative spirit. Her friends admire how hardworking and passionate she is, though at times she can get a little carried away. She teaches numerous art lessons to kittens across Bokehville, in hopes to raise awareness for the lack of color in Bokehville. And once she has traveled the world and gained fame and glory for her masterpieces, Daisuki wants to start her biggest project yet: she wants to paint every single building in her home town a bright, zany color, neon blue being her favorite.
Daisuki never gives up and never loses hope. She knows to always be an original, and when others disagree on her artistic flare, she understands. All she needs to be is herself.

Honeycup is a dusky kitty who resides in an orchard just outside of Bokehville. Though not a full resident of Bokehville, she travels there often and even attends its school, Darkle Academy.
Her best friend is Glaze, and together they share a burning hatred for mathematics. However, Honeycup is very intelligent, and could learn to like school, as well as many other things, if she just tried.
Honeycup has known Glaze since she was a kitten, so he is the only one she is comfortable being around. Other than that, Honeycup is dreadfully shy and despises having to meet other kitties. As a result, she is not very popular, but she tends to like things that way.
This kitty's favorite food is salmon. Luckily, a stream runs straight through her home, the orchard, so she has grown accustomed to fishing. She is very fit and healthy, living off of nothing her entire life but fresh stream water, salmon, and orchard fruits such as peaches, apples, and oranges.
Honeycup is headstrong, has a short temper, and appears to be annoyed by many things. She sometimes writes in her personal journal that Glaze is the only one that ever listens to her and everyone else hates her. That's not true- "everyone else" just don't know her yet.

Rae is a mysterious tabby who lives with her inventor, Borealis, on the outskirts of Bokehville. She grew up thinking Borealis was her father, and for most of her life, she had been locked up in a laboratory with a basic education and many clay dolls to play with. Little does she know that she herself is crafted from clay.
After traveling the galaxy inside and out, Borealis decided he was lonely and desired company. He visited a dusky planet made entirely from clay, and gathered some of it up for his own use. Then he blasted off to a comfortable planet to live in, and finally built his laboratory on the outskirts of Bokehville. He soon fashioned a scale-size model of a cat, and sprinkled stardust into the model's eyes. With this magical touch of the universe, the model sprang to life, transforming into a life-size feline with dazzling silver eyes that glinted along with the stars above.
Ever since, Rae has been a joy in Borealis's life. Though she has always been told she is a normal kitty like the others, she realizes there is something different about her. Rae is always curious about the world around her, and determined in tough situations. The time will come, however, when she must brave the truth about her past.

Glaze is a silly, math-hating resident of Bokehville with a witty sense of humor and a special spork to eat every meal he has ever had (this includes, but is not limited to baby food, soup, casseroles, cake, and pizza). He adds pizzazz to everyone's day by telling hilarious jokes, juggling with pencils, or simply expressing his usual cheery mood with a smile!
Glaze has been dating Figgy Pudding for over two years and will do anything for her. He is always there to cheer her up, and in return, she always helps him with his math homework. Glaze hopes their relationship will never end, though he is aware that Figgy Pudding's younger sister Creampuff takes excessive romantic interest in him. He always tells himself to ignore her, but that can be a bit challenging when she is constantly begging Glaze to pet her fluffy, cream-colored coat.
Ever a practical joker, one of Glaze's favorite things to do is pull pranks on his comrades, usually meaning his classmates. He once even tricked Figgy Pudding by giving her fake styrofoam chocolates on Valentine's Day. He later made up for it by writing her a sweet and thoughtful apology/love letter, along with a box of REAL chocolates.

Acorntop is a cuddly, quiet kitten and resident of Bokehville. He had run away years ago to live on his own in a downtown park, and remembers little to nothing of his past life. Acorntop, having developed a strong attachment to nature while living in the beautiful park, treats each and every plant like family since, after all, he has none of his own.
Acorntop is extremely shy and doesn't talk much. However, one day when Maple brings Alliderpkins to the park to play, she befriends Acorntop and they play a fun game of tag. Alliderpkins complains that Acorntop isn't playing correctly because he keeps climbing up trees to escape her when she is "it". Since then, Acorntop longs to see Alliderpkins at the park again someday. He almost wishes he could go off on his own to find her, but then his tree friends would miss him. And, after all, he knows how dangerous cities can be. He sees cars whoosh by the park day after day, and decides they are quick and cunning monsters that lurk in the streets.
Acorntop always feels safer in the park and never wants to leave, unless his desire to see Alliderpkins grows strong enough...

Maple is Alliderpkins's tenderhearted older brother and a resident of Bokehville. He is very passionate and cares about everyone around him, even those who are not his friends. His loving personality is mainly what makes him such a kind and supportive guardian to Alliderpkins, for he is able to see past her unsatisfied frown and stiff, arched eyebrows.
One of Maple's many talents is the ability to see the best in everyone. Though he barely knows Honeycup and has been told she is shy and disagreeable, he still knows there is good in her heart and develops feelings for her. However, he is afraid to admit his feelings to her because he suspects she is dating her best friend Glaze, when he notices they often sit together at lunch in Darkle Academy. Along with being kind, he is quite clueless sometimes, and remains completely unaware that Glaze is in a relationship with Figgy Pudding and Honeycup is just a friend.
Maple is a big believer in patience as well, and does not allow Alliderpkins to play with her toys or have free time unless all of her chores are done first. This leads to Alliderpkins being angry at her brother most of the time.
One thing that Maple is NOT clueless about is the fact that Alliderpkins is manipulative and overreacts over silly things like toys. But he doesn't want to hurt her feelings by telling her that, and secretly hopes that some day, someone else will.

Puffin is a local brainiac and a resident of Bokehville. Everyone knows him for his incredible mental feats and capability of answering some of life's most puzzling questions. In school, Darkle Academy, Puffin tutors a range of students, even those who are much older than him. He is known to point out every grammatical error his ears perceive, and can sometimes be boastful of his extensive knowledge. As a result, half of the kitties who know Puffin adore him, and the other half wants nothing to do with his aggravating logic and persistent corrections. Even teachers are known to grow frustrated with him sometimes.
Aside from having infinite intelligence, Puffin is an extreme goody-goody, and has never been in hot water with any adult since he was a wee bookworm kitten. He tends to not spend much time with others his age, because he claims they are "too irresponsible" and may get him into trouble. Instead, he has lengthy, seemingly pointless conversations with Darkle Academy's librarian, Miss Forepaw, in his spare time during lunch period. Puffin sternly denies any accusations of having a crush on Miss Forepaw but, unfortunately, his devotion to her has become quite evident...
However, nerdiness comes with a price for Puffin, as he is bullied from left to right. Luckily, he is smart enough not to let the taunting bother him too much. After all, he's too busy chasing his dream of becoming a famous astronomer to care what others think.

Born from an exploding star, Borealis harnesses great power within the balance of the universe. For eternities he has been traveling many galaxies in hopes of one day finding a friend to call his own. He is able to grant anyone's desires by sending them a shooting star to wish upon, but has not used that ability in a very long time and fears his powers are slowly slipping away from him.
One day Borealis had come across a planet made entirely of clay and, in spite of loneliness, hatched a plan. If he could not find company, he would have to create company of his own.
After gathering clay from the planet and settling just outside of Bokehville in a large laboratory, the star cat had begun working immediately. It had taken him hundreds of Earth years, and Bokehville had slowly been built as he worked, but one day, the perfect being was created. He named her Rae, after the ultraviolet "ray"s of the sun, one of his favorite places to visit. He has not told Rae that she is not a real cat, but made of clay. However, he fears that one day he will have to force himself to bring up the truth.
In an underground chamber beneath the laboratory lie the hundreds of clay figures that are not nearly as perfect as Rae had turned out to be. Borealis calls them his "rough drafts".
Borealis is, in fact, a member of the Galaxy Devine Union, along with his long-lost sister, a Constellation, who was born from the same star as he. He has never met her or seen her, yet feels he is missing from her somehow. Some of his dreams include her talking to him about how much she wishes to see him again someday.

-Supporting Characters
Macrame (MACK-ruh-may) is a natural-born athlete born and raised in Bokehville, near a craft shop that his parents own. Susie, his mother, and Gordie, his father, had grown up with a passion for all kinds of sewing and knitting (they met at a tapestry convention and were married soon after). Even so, Macrame is into sports, and has joined every athletic club in school growing up. Running and swimming are his top favorite activities, and he is currently attending a track team and a swim team at his school, Darkle Academy.
Aside from his athletic abilities, Macrame is very flirtatious and will woo any girl he finds attractive (besides Figgy Pudding, as she had broken his heart when he discovered she had chosen Glaze over him). Nowadays, he seeks a long-distance relationship from a girl from another region, named Luna, a timekeeper (a sparklekat4ever original character).
Macrame has an older brother named Potter, who favors knitting like his parents, and a younger brother named Acorntop, who had run away several years ago without a trace. Though Potter, Macrame, Susie, and Gordie miss Acorntop dearly, they know in their hearts that he is safe.

Tunamew is a younger resident of Bokehville, around Creampuff's age. Her eyes are a milky white color, well-displaying the fact that she is visually impaired. She has been blind since birth, and since has learned to read using the "raised dots" method (or, as we humans recognize, Braille). Despite her disability, she has a very cheerful and chipper disposition, and has made several friends at her school, Darkle Academy, including Creampuff, who still struggles with explaining colors to Tunamew.
Tunamew's favorite thing to do is listen to music. She often asks her helpful older sister, Purrable, to sing nursery rhymes to her, or open the windows of their cozy apartment so she can hear the birds sing. She has heard several different bird calls, and can identify several different breeds of bird simply by hearing their call.

Ultramarine is an exotic, peacock-like empress-in-training of a foreign demesne called Malania. As a war has struck up between this demesne and a few others (keep in mind that Bokehville is completely void of this), the emperor and empress, her parents, must lead Malania into battle. Ultramarine tends to be highly peaceable and fears contention and battle, so all the war around her has eroded her into an anxious and sorrowful being, considering she was once spirited and full of life. However, her parents are constantly eager to keep her head held high, as they are confident Malania will win against the other contending demesnes: Pawpris, Fenfra, and Relle.
To escape her troubles, Ultramarine enjoys traveling (with permission from her parents) to remote islands in the ocean. One of these islands is Bokeh, where Bokehville is located, which is a place she visits most often. Meeting so many friendly faces in a harmonious, friendly town puts Ultramarine at ease. Though distraught inside, she has a hopeful heart for her hardworking parents.

FEL-8522, or more commonly referred to as Fel, is a catlike droid belonging to a futuristic world far from Borealis's. The world is called Turquin, and within Turquin are dozens of companies whose soles purposes are to produce technology for the future. Many assistant robot prototypes have been invented, and Fel is one of the first invented. Because she had been a bit of a "scrappy" project, she rarely functions the way she's supposed to (she had been built to store and provide information, so she does have a speaking voice). However, she is highly self-conscious of her intended purpose and strives to help her team of inventors, Dr. Klaggen, Dr. Rixton, and Dr. Quif, though they had abandoned her a long time ago, along with their other failures.
Fel, being self-conscious, refuses to be considered a failure. After years of rejection from her creators whilst they worked on newer, bigger projects, she escaped from the industry building and soon came across a much younger Borealis, who developed feelings for her, despite the fact that she is mechanical and he is not. Fel, as aware as she was, never fully reciprocated Borealis's feelings, as her thoughts were constantly directed towards finding someone she could assist. Borealis promised she could assist him (or try to, as she glitches often) whenever he needed her, but she knew he, too, was an inventor, and did not trust him.
Borealis became broken-hearted and gave up. He fled Turquin in search of somewhere to stay. Eventually, after gathering an abundance of clay from planet Um-Fray, he ended up in the abandoned Bokehville laboratory and worked on the perfect daughter. This is how his creation, Rae, came to be.

Palila Quail (Quail is an extension of her first name, her last name being Forepaw) is a teenage resident of Bokehville, and the daughter of Miss Forepaw, Darkle Academy's librarian, who had become a widow long ago when Mr. Forepaw passed on (Palila Quail was only a kitten then, and she doesn't currently remember much of her father). Palila Quail, like her mother, had always adored reading. She has a secret eye for Puffin and, during lunch when he swings by the school library, makes subtle attempts to flirt with him while helping him search for certain books. These efforts often go unnoticed, as, of course, Puffin is usually more interested in taking up rather geeky conversations with her mother. Despite this, the determined she-kitty vows to continue venturing towards her goal.
Palila Quail is quite popular in school. Though by a librarian's nature she doesn't smile too often and constantly speaks in a dreadfully quiet voice, she tends not to be shy in the midst of strangers. Despite her soft-spoken tone, she can say a lot at times, and when informing someone on a topic, she does tend to over complicate things. This is likely due to the fact that her active and logical mind soaks up the extensive amount of vocabulary words she finds in books like a sponge, and she sometimes tries to cram the most intricate (and confusing) of those words into her sentences. Hopefully she will one day learn to simplify her lexicon in order to become a better communicator, which will most likely result in gaining Puffin's attention, as well as his long-desired affection.

Dustin, nicknamed Dustbunny by locals, is a well-known kitty throughout Bokehville. He is extroverted, generous, and a hard worker! Most of his close friends are much younger than him, as Dustbunny is an adult, and he is currently employed as both a janitor and substitute teacher at Darkle Academy, where he has gotten to know many of the students from grades one to five (he is never assigned to sub for and clean after the middle school and high school classes, so he doesn't know them as well). Dustbunny is known throughout Bokehville to participate in spring clean-ups, which he usually plans with Daisuki. He loves younger kitties and they love him, especially when he teaches their classes (he happens to be a favorite of Creampuff)!
Dustbunny lives on his own in an apartment with a backyard, which is where he gardens in his spare time. Dustbunny has made good friends with his neighbors, and he invites them over on weekends for tea and home-made honey cookies (even though cooking isn't quite his strong suit). One of his neighbors happens to be his sweetheart, named Catalina, whom he plans on proposing to soon.

Lonan is a little ghost kitten who has roamed Bokeh Island for many years without aging. He had passed on in his sleep ten years ago during a war in the Pawpris demesne. After his death, his family, consisting of the kitten's mother, father, and older sister, named Catalina, had fled the war by relocating in Bokehville, where they now live happily. As a ghost, Lonan had followed them to Bokehville and remains close to this day.
A content ghost bears green eyes, and a discontented one's eyes turn red. Lonan's are currently red, as he is upset and quite downcast that he is rendered unable to communicate with his family in any way besides seeing them in their dreams due to his ghostly form (he is invisible to all concious mortals). A largely obscure character, Lonan does not do much more on the island than wander and wait to see his family once more; it's all he can really do, after all. Until he can physically embrace them, his eyes shall remain red.

Catalina is Dustbunny's girlfriend and a gymnast instructor at the downtown Bokehville Gymnastics Center. She is very flexible and talented indeed, though it had taken years of practice after moving to Bokehville to become as skilled as she is now. Catalina loves gymnastics and spending time with her boyfriend, but she tends to be a bit lazy at times, ceasing practice for the next few hours to take a not light, but a deep catnap. She struggles with waking up early enough to get to the center for the gymnastic classes she gives younger kitties.
Catalina misses her younger brother Lonan, who had died when she was about ten years of age, with all her heart, and often dreams of him while dozing off. It's almost as if he's still there, her guardian, watching over her entire family...

Fogbow is a quiet kitten and resident of Bokehville. Aside from being clammed up, sensitive, a tad cautious, and incredibly geeky, he is for the most part both Creampuff's classmate and rival. Though he is sometimes peeved by the many little things she does to bother him, Creampuff herself dislikes Fogbow almost entirely for "never telling her anything", as they sit at neighboring desks in class, and she is acts a bit nosy about what he is doing. For instance, Fogbow will be studiously reading a book to himself, and Creampuff will interrupt by beginning ridiculous tangents such as, "Does this book have a princess in it? Are there pirates? Ooh! Ooh! Didn't the author of Fluffy Power write this? No? Well, is there a princess or not? Tell me! Stop being so quiet! You're so annoying!" to which Fogbow will respond to with a mere shrug before continuing his book.
He is both annoyed and patient with Creampuff, as he is with his parents, who think he is strangely silent and can act odd at times. Nonetheless, they adore his manners and passion for learning.
Some of Fogbow's friends (this does not include his "frenemy" Creampuff, of course) believe he should stand up to Creampuff and tell her to lay off. Fogbow simply thinks, though, that confronting her in such a way would be rude and uncivilized, and he doesn't find Creampuff too much of a burden (even when reading and exquisitely fascinating story) anyway, and he will strive to simply shrug the next time she invades his space with her inquiries.

Constellation is Borealis's long-lost sister. She and Borealis are completely oblivious of each other and have no idea the other sibling exists, as when their star exploded, they were shot in opposite directions. Constellation can connect stars to form, well, constellations, and leaves sparkly dust wherever she roams. There is always a twinkle in her eye.
Xenia is a young, tomboyish resident of Bokehville and a slight narcissistic. She despises vegetables, having to pull back her long angora fur into ponytails each day (though everyone adores her red ribbons), and school. Despite her boredom in classes, she is quite an excellent listener, and keeps a sharp memory, so she tends to receive excellent grades on assignments. She is about two years younger than Figgy Pudding, though Xenia's smarts have placed her in Figgy's same math block and science class.
Xenia doesn't mind being younger than some of her classmates, and she does have a close-knit circle of friends, including Palila Quail and Daisuki. Xenia and Palila are the brains of the group, while Daisuki is the creative spark.

Tinsley is a well-known Bokehville diva, a pioneer in the field of all these fashionable. She owns (and lives in the roomy, posh attic of) a clothes designer shop and hair salon (both are located in different wings of the building, which is called "Fabufeline"). For being the age of Dustbunny, she appears awfully kitten-like. Self-centered as she is, she will tend to any customer's couture needs, especially if the customer is a male (as she is quite a romantic kitty).
Tinsley has appeared on television many times and envisions herself as a celebrity.

Sweet Potato is a fun-loving kitty who is the oldest son of Cookie Dough and Soy Bean, the older brother of Red Velvette, and the cousin of Creampuff and Figgy Pudding. As a purebred farm boy, he greatly enjoys plowing the fields of the family's farm and venturing through the fields and forests. He loves lazing about just as much as exercising. He once met Silva once in the woods and fell in love with her, just before she disappeared. He hasn't seen her since.
Red Velvette is a sweet but timid kitten who is the youngest daughter of Cookie Dough and Soy Bean, the younger sister of Sweet Potato, and the cousin of Creampuff and Figgy Pudding. She tends to grow quite sheepish if around anyone besides her family members. Sensitive Velvette dislikes being teased, and even though her brother does this often, she loves him unconditionally. One of her favorite things to do is read with her mother or race around the barn with Sweet Potato. She has learned a bit of cooking from her parents and Figgy Pudding.
Cookie Dough is the soft-spoken and caring wife of Soy Bean, the sister of Creampuff and Figgy's father, and mother of Sweet Potato and Red Velvette. She enjoys baking all sorts of pies, as well as gardening in the fertile soil next to her small home on a large farm. She usually takes the family out on picnics. Her absolute favorite thing to do, though, is read stories to her children at night before they drift off to sleep.
Soy Bean is the kind, loyal, and logical husband of Cookie Dough, brother-in-law of Creampuff and Figgy's father, and father of Sweet Potato and Red Velvette. A fun-loving, kindred soul, he enjoys plowing the fields on his farm with his trusty tractor, playing sports with his children, and assisting Cookie Dough (though he isn't much of a chef) with culinary activities. He has a big voice, and uses it to rouse his children in the morning before the sun comes up. He and his wide homeschool their children- Cookie Dough teaches English and Science, and Soy Bean teaches Math and Physical Education.
Muffy is a resident of Bokehville, and Alliderpkins's age. She thinks Alli is "super amazing" and wants to look just like her, though her differences in fur and eye color are apparent. Despite a snarky and ungrateful kitten being her role model, Muffy is sweet, kind, polite, and thoughtful (she also adores Alli's kind older brother, Maple).
Maple sees Muffy as an extremely positive influence on his younger sister and invites her over to play with Alli often. Alli, however, finds Muffy to be obnoxious for copying her. She refuses to share with Muffy or play with her, finding the opposing kitten intolerable. Muffy, however, continues to consider Alliderpkins her greatest friend, and never mews a single cross word to her.

Duke wields the element of the Exploding Stars. When a star explodes and a destiny cat, such as Borealis, is born, it is his duty to deliver them into space and assign them their special task. His supernatural abilities allow him to sense a kitty's natural gift, and he can feel when trouble is nearby.
Joshua wields the element of the Planet Lakes. He is the speediest swimmer in the cosmos, and can send rays of energy towards any liquid in order to manipulate it.
There are six legendary guardians of the sky. This includes Cataclysm (male), Cakewalk (male), and Corridor (female), guardians of the moon, and Cabochan (male), Chessel (female), and Cosails (female), guardians of the sun. Because the moon and sun guardians' duty is to operate together like clockwork, the six have formed pairs bonded by marriage. Cataclysm is married to Chessel, Cakewalk is married to Cosails, and Corridor is married to Cabochan.
Moon guardians have one green eye and one red eye. Sun guardians have one green eye and one turquoise eye.

Pecha Kucha is a non-resident of Bokehville who lives on the far south of Bokeh Island, in a cottage down by the beach. Despite living alone, he is quite... well, chatty, say, and has conversations with all the shells he collects at low tide. Swimming, shell-collecting, and soaking up the sun are among his favorite activities.
This slightly-looney dude is quite forgetful at times and can't remember how he ever got to be alone in the first place. He doesn't remember his family... however, there is a beautiful white shell with golden stripes that sits on the dresser next to his bed. Pecha Kucha holds it every night before allowing the gentle lull of the beach waves to drift him to sleep. When he holds the shell, it reminds him of the only things he feels he needs to remember- that his name is Pecha Kucha, that his birthday is in the summertime, and that he's been breathing the salty beach air his entire life.
He celebrates his birthday by eating coconuts, singing random lullabies to himself, and splashing about in the waves.

Silva is a resident of Bokehville, though she thrives on the outskirts of the town, similar to Honeycup. She has tried to befriend Honeycup several times, but the gloomy kitty has continuously turned away in spite of her shyness. Silva prefers to make friends personally. If she asks someone to be her buddy, she's definitely cool, but if someone requests friendship from her, she dissolves immediately. No one, even herself, is quite sure why.
Silva was born with the ability to cloak herself in camouflage. Her normal shade is a dazzling blue pattern. However, there's a catch— though her body can mimic her surroundings, her eyes always remain a bright, noticeable green, so she must clamp them shut if she does not wish to be seen.
One day she happened upon friendly Sweet Potato, who was venturing through her territory by mistake. As soon as they locked eyes, Potato fell in love, and asked her what her name was. She thought Potato was decent-looking and sweet, but she was mortified by having to answer him, so she cloaked herself and sped off. She never saw Sweet Potato again.
Silva has a long-lost sister named Regina who can't camouflage her body, though her eyes can change hues. The two were separated long ago when Silva snuck aboard a ferry and was hauled off to Bokeh Island in attempt to run away. She misses Regina and her parents dearly, and continues to wonder what has become of them.

Kikyou is a resident of Bokehville and a trusty food deliverer. Each year, when the nearby farms are ready to harvest, she picks up their food in a truck and brings it to grocery stores across the island. She always makes sure the farmers are paid handsomely for their hard work.
Kikyou met her sweetheart, Arctic, one day while visiting a nearby farm that harvests only frigidberries. She was driving her truck to the farm when she spotted Arctic in the snow, carrying a basket of frigidberries to his igloo. She pulled over and asked him where he got the berries from, and Arctic explained there was an icy, frosty forest he made rounds to each day to pick frigidberries. He was shy and a bit cold around Kikyou, until finally, after much persuasion, he showed her where the frigidberry bushes were located.
Now, though the two live miles and miles apart, Kikyou visits Arctic once a month to pick and eat frigidberries with him. It has become her favorite pastime.

Arctic is a non-resident of Bokehville, finding his home at the northern tip of Bokeh Island, where the climate is cloudy and snow-trodden all year long. The icy conditions of his habitat have condensed his heart into a cold ice cube. He prefers to be alone, living off of snow slush and frigidberries that only thrive in his environment. Though his body is slim from his simple diet, his fur is quite thick and envelops him like a cozy blanket.
Arctic's icy heart thaws on one condition: when his lady-friend, Kikyou, comes to visit. She can be blunt but kind to him, and during her visits the two gather frigidberries together and bring them back to Arctic's igloo to eat before she must depart.

Sparkle Muffin is Ultramarine's party-going cousin, and ruler of the opposing demesne, Relle. Extroverted, quirky, and positive, she works hard to make sure the war between the demesnes is in her favor, even if she must go up against family. Her intentions are not evil, but it is quite surprising to Ultramarine's parents that their niece shows no mercy towards them in combat. Each territory Muffin conquers results in a ginormous party for her soldiers.

Meet Four-Leaf! He is a quiet yet curious luck-casting felinoid. He is the younger brother of Kudos. The two stick together, predicting the odds of certain weather patterns. Four is teased by Kudos often, growing weary and offended, though the luck-caster usually bounces back. Four is also known as the "unlucky west wind" for sometimes displaying his cowardise.

Kudos is a felinoid living outside of Bokehville. He is highly adaptive but feels most secure when it is raining. His brother is Four-Leaf. Kudos cannot control the weather, but can predict what the weather is going to be like. He is boisterous and proud, much louder than his quieter younger brother. Both siblings were born two years apart, Kudos from a thunder cloud, and Four-Leaf from a rain cloud.

Pompompon is a felinoid resident of Bokehville. Her fur grows so quickly, that by winter it is thicker and softer than anyone's on the entire Bokeh island! In the summer, local barbers have their heart set on shearing off the kitty's enormous pelt, and though Pom ADORES her thick coat and rues having it gone, everyone else agrees she looks prettier without the extra fluff, which is donated to quilt-makers.
Buttermilk is a resident of Bokehville and a trusty friend of many. He's an interesting kitty-- his coat is constantly shiny and gleaming-- but don't let that fool you. The sheen is really grease. Buttermilk bathes regularly, but has a slick fur coat secreting oily substances non-stop. He literally perspires (and salivates) butter. I know it sounds yucky, but it's just the way his body has been operating since he was born.
Befriending Buttermilk is never hard, due to the fact that he is easygoing, outgoing, and always on the lookout for fun! His friends are always inviting him over for breakfast because his buttery tail, which oozes more butter than any other area of his body, is perfect for swiping at a bare waffle, pancake, or piece of toast. Gross but yum!
Buttermilk is a speedy runner, and Bokehville residents often wonder if he ever slips on all that grease. The answer is... no. His paws include extra-special padding that prevent him from slipping. However, he sometimes wraps his tail around himself so he doesn't track butter wherever he goes (this doesn't always work).
Despite his external oiliness, Buttermilk prefers fruits and vegetables over fatty foods. He secretes butter, for heaven's sakes-- why would he ever crave it if it's all he's ever known?

Cake Batter is a resident of Bokehville, around Xenia's age. She greatly enjoys hobbies such as biking, running, playing, and getting active! She has a decent amount of friends and never wishes to have too many or too little. Of course, her school grades could be... erm... higher. Cake isn't too big on education.
She was never a straight-A student in the first place, but her grades really began to dip once she began feeling emotionless towards school, which was caused by, as disturbing as this may seem, possession.
Lonan had been wandering around Bokeh Island for awhile, so lonely that he was afraid he would lose the ability to love anyone. He found Cake Batter and, though she couldn't see him, began to follow her around. Lonan grew to love Cake Batter and wanted to be able to contact her, but he found she was very busy with friends, fitness, and school, and never had any down time.
And so, Lonan possessed Cake's thoughts so that she would lose interest in school. Without spending time studying, Lonan could force her to spend more time with him. Unfortunately, when one is possessed by a ghost, they are completely unaware of their thoughts and actions, so Cake still has never seen or witnessed Lonan, even subconsciously. (The mischievous little ghost is still figuring out how to make this happen so the two can see each other. All Lonan wants is love, happiness... and red eyes turned green.)

Remedy is a non-resident of Bokehville, and a medical doctor in the art of creating medicines with herbs. Remedy resides alone in a treehouse near Borealis's laboratory, where she sometimes spies on him, as she does not trust his business and theorizes he is developing dangerous inventions (which he is, technically, minus the "dangerous" part). She keeps to herself and prefers to work alone.
Though she does not trust Borealis's work, Remedy has spotted him with her binoculars (tinkering with machines or clay) several times, and finds him attractive. This is the main reason why she is too shy to knock on the door of his laboratory and ask about his business on the outskirts of Bokeville.
Remedy greatly enjoys travel, and has visited each demesne at least once. She once gave Sparkle Muffin a special ointment to heal the empress's current sickness, a fever. The ointment cured Sparkle Muffin and, overjoyed, she rewarded the doctor with bountiful treasure... which was declined, as Remedy said the health and happiness of a patient was reward enough.

Glitch Hop is a resident of Bokehville and Tunamew's older brother. When it comes to perspective on life Glitch Hop is pretty immature and seems only to care for music and art inspiration. He is, however, cultivated enough to care for his sightless younger sister in times of need. He doesn't tend to fret over education or rule-breaking, and can be quite lazy, if not well-recognized for his "street cred" and music he creates in his spare (or procrastinating) time.
Chorkie is an energetic, curious, but very cautious resident of Bokehville. She is often seen roaming about the city, around the park, timidly aware of everything that moves or breathes. Unlike many residents, she is not completely learned in the manner of general etiquette. She will sniff and investigate anything (you'll notice her floppy ears perk up when she's inquisitive), and make loud, deep noises opposite of any felinoid. Her age and home are unknown, but she's friendly and excited around anyone once she gets to know someone, and the townspeople don't really mind her boisterous company.
Do not be fooled by Chorkie's canine-like appearance and behavior, however. She is 100% a full-fledged FELINE. Many speculate she was raised in the wild, which would explain her gruffer complexion, or abandoned, so she would have to raise herself. No matter what, this resident certainly won't be leaving anytime soon.

Cedro is a school-going resident of Bokehville. Though awkward and mostly unpopular, his heart outshines any negative comment a fellow student could make about him. His dream each year at Darkle Academy is to be crowned Student President. He's never been elected, but each year Cedro shrugs off his previous failure and begins working on a fresh new campaign he hopes is solid as stone (and they are). Next year, at his campaign speech, Cedro wishes to bust some moves in front of the whole school...
Kind-hearted, tender, and lovable, Heart Bless is a very sweet non-resident of Bokehville. She resides in the country, a little while away from Cookie Dough's humble family, in a straw bungalo, which doubles as a pie bakery. Her specialties are pies crafted from the finest of wheats and berries growing just outside her home. Her pie shop, while small, is extremely successful, and many from all around Bokeh Island rave of her "magical pastry paws."
At night, Heart Bless sits in her rocking chair, recalling her previous work... a universe-trotter, traveling across the galaxy with her brother, Star Ark. The two twins lived a very regal life, Heart Bless using her healing powers to heal the sick and weary, Star Ark using his star-flinging powers to place a star under any patient, warming and calming their minds while being healed by Heart Bless. The two had, long ago, retired their roles as divines and handed them down to Butsuri-Teki and Kanjo.
